As TSB is slowly growing, more and more people join the community. Sometimes it’s nice to know and learn a bit more about the people behind the community, the people making it all possible as well as to hear from it’s members, the people that make up the community. We thought it would be nice to spotlight a member of the community every week to get to know them. This week is the twentyfourth in the series with someone who like boardgames a lot…but also had an odd Arma experience: Slade.
So, who is Slade?
“I am Slade, the owner of “Slades’ Tavern and traps” as well as your neighborhood DM.”
What is your job in TSB?
“I help run the Tabletop section of TSB as well as being a community moderator.”
What makes you happy?
“Rainy Days.”
What is your #1 song on your playlist?
“Sinners by Barnes courtney.”
What is your all-time favorite game at this point in time? and why?
“Assassins Creed Odyssey. It looks great and is just a ton of fun to play.”
How long have you been a gamer? And how long have you been in TSB?
“As a gamer I have no idea its been a long time probably closing in on 14-15 years at this point. For 2 of those years I have been a part of TSB.”
What got you started in Gaming? And why did you join TSB?
“The first game that got me into gaming was Command and Conquer: Tiberium Sun. I was awful, but I loved that game. I joined TSB originally to play Arma 3, but later stayed because of the people that I met here.”
What do you consider your greatest gaming moment/achievement? and in TSB? Can you tell us a bit about it?
“When during a Arma 3 training session I somehow glitched my gun to sound like a fully automatic MAAWS. I still have no idea how that happened to this day.”
What was your biggest gaming blunder? and in TSB?
“My biggest blunder was not long ago when I was DMing for TSB and permitted a player to have an intimate relationship with a dragon….. never again.”

If you were one of the Council in TSB, what would you change, and why?
“Make every Tuesday a mandatory Taco Tuesday, simply because tacos are good.”
What has been some of the best moments you’ve had?
“Some of the best moments I have had in TSB have come from the various D&D campaigns that I have run or been a part of. However there are to many to list here.”
What do you typically use to game?
“An Sega genesis attached to five hamster wheels and a CRT-TV, however when that is in the shop to get its nuclear battery replaced I am on PC.”
If you were to describe TSB in as few words as possible, what would they be? (10 words max!)
“*Incoherent Screaming*”

“Pizza and Sprite”
